If You Prefer High Quality Music
Who doesn’t?
Well, I think most of the people actually don’t. Otherwise there wouldn’t be FM radio, Pandora, Last.fm. We’re an iPod generation, that consumes music with cheap headphones or speakers.
But there’re still many of those who DO care. Who want to hear a song the way it was meant by artists and sound engineers. Those for whom mp3/128kbps won’t cut it.
What should these people do? What is the best way to store and enjoy their high quality music collection?
First of all, what would be the best choice of audio format? Is it mp3/320kbps? Well, I must say mp3 at 320 gives you a pretty decent quality. You can find numerous tests on the Internet that show that it requires a very good stereo system and a pair of ears to actually tell the difference between a CD and an mp3 file encoded with 320kpbs. But it’s possible and I’m sure there’re plenty of those who tried that.
Can I get something better than an mp3/320 and still keep the file size small? The answer is yes. You can always turn to an OGG Vorbis, which gives you up to 500kpbs. I believe at this rate even the most demanding ear can be satisfied.
The next question is can you stream OGG Vorbis? And the answer is again yes. Most of digital locker servers out there will convert OGG files into an mp3 file for streaming. However Moozone.com supports true streaming of OGG Vorbis files, where the actual OGG file will get streamed to your computer or an Android app.
I, myself, have ripped all my old CDs to OGG/500 and uploaded them to Moozone.com. 3G networks are fast enough to handle 500kbps without any problems.

Multimedia Online Services, Inc Announces Moozone.com - Its New Music Service

For the first time in online music industry, three very different types of music services come together in a unique service package. Moozone.com, a revolutionary online music platform, lets users buy tracks from its vast catalog of over 6 million titles, store and manage music library online, and share it with friends.

Upon registration, every new user receives 1 GB of free online storage. Additional storage space can be purchased for around $1 per GB and kept forever! There are no restrictions on types of files that can be uploaded, as long as they are obtained by legal means. Users can stream or download uploaded MP3s as often as they like from anywhere in the world!

Users can create personal networks of friends and share uploaded files with each other. This gives an opportunity to expand personal music library by tapping into friends’ catalogs. The files can only be streamed, and downloads are not allowed. The only restriction is that each track can only be played by one person at a time.

Each user can quickly buy a track or an album from Moozone catalog that offers over 6 million titles (including all the major labels). The prices are on par with all the major competitors, however, with every track purchased from Moozone users receive free storage to keep that track online forever. This gives users the flexibility of accessing the track from anywhere at anytime.

Profit sharing program is available for bloggers or web site owners, who are willing to promote music using Moozone playlist widget.

Today tracks are only available for sale in the US. However, there are plans to change that in the future. iPhone and Android applications are in development.
